The many comedic faces of Zac Ella
    LOS ANGELES --

Director Zac Ella has signed with production company JOJX for representation in the U.S. He is no stranger to the shop, having unofficially been repped by JOJX starting back in 2024 when it entered into a partnership with London-based Agile Films to handle several of its directors stateside, including Ella. But JOJX and Agile have since mutually parted ways and Ella is no longer with the U.K. production company. The director wanted to continue his relationship with JOJX and is now formally on board the company roster.

Ella is a comedy-driven, craft-obsessed filmmaker known for his inventive approach and seamless integration of humor and performance across formats, creating worlds that are both realistic and offbeat. His body of work spans commercials, music videos and experiential content. Ella brings a distinctively creative and versatile voice to projects with his “Zac of all trades approach” and innovative in-camera editing. He started in graphic design and motion graphics before expanding into postproduction, live action, and directing.

Ella and JOJX have enjoyed a productive creative relationship, collaborating on projects such as the craft-first campaign for Supercell’s latest IP, mo.co. These experiences built a natural rapport and shared understanding of each other’s vision, paving the way for a formal partnership.

Having worked with brands like Verizon, McDonald’s, Nike, TikTok and adidas, Ella has proven his ability to balance performance, comedy, and character-driven work. He has also collaborated with high-profile talents such as David Beckham, Chris Rock and Idris Elba, and has already worked in the U.S., securing repeat work and maintaining relationships with varied agencies.

“I love building funny worlds with funny people–Worlds that feel recognizable, but just gently heightened into the silly,” said Ella. “For me, the best ideas come from collaboration. Trusting the room. Understanding the audience. Shaping performances that feel truthful and grounded, then elevating them through craft in ways that feel unexpected but precise. I’m drawn to work that feels cinematic yet playful, carefully built but never heavy. JOJX feels like a team that shares that sensibility. I’m excited about what we can create together.””

“Zac brings an extraordinary energy to every project,” said Jackson Morton, JOJX founder. “His ability to work with talent, push creative boundaries, and deliver work that’s conceptually strong and visually precise aligns perfectly with the type of directors we champion at JOJX.”

Meta CEO Zuckerberg Testifies At Trial Accusing Social Media Firms Of Addicting Kids To Their Platforms

    Wednesday, February 18, 2026

Mark Zuckerberg and opposing lawyers dueled in a Los Angeles courtroom on Wednesday, where the Meta CEO answered questions about young people's use of Instagram, his congressional testimony and internal advice he's received about being "authentic" and not "robotic." Zuckerberg's testimony is part of an unprecedented social media trial that questions whether Meta's platforms deliberately addict and harm children. As of early afternoon, Zuckerberg has not directly answered the central question of the case: whether Instagram is addictive. The plaintiff's attorney, Mark Lanier, asked if people tend to use something more if it's addictive. "I'm not sure what to say to that," Zuckerberg said. "I don't think that applies here." Attorneys representing the plaintiff, a now 20-year-old woman identified by the initials KGM, claim her early use of social media addicted her to the technology and exacerbated depression and suicidal thoughts. Meta Platforms and Google's YouTube are the two remaining defendants in the case, which TikTok and Snap have settled. Beginning his questioning, Lanier laid out three options of what people can do regarding vulnerable people: help them, ignore them, or "prey upon them and use them for our own ends." Zuckerberg said he agrees the last option is not what a reasonable company should do, saying, "I think a reasonable company should try to help the people that use its services." When he was asked about his compensation, Zuckerberg said he has pledged to give "almost all" of his money to charity, focusing on scientific research. Lanier asked him how much money he has pledged to victims impacted by social media, to which Zuckerberg replied, "I disagree with the characterization of your question." Lanier questioned the Meta CEO... Read More
