Pamela Romanowsky (l) and Joaquin Güiraldes

Pamela Romanowsky, Trevor McMahan, Joaquín Güiraldes, Dara Bratt and Tati Barrantes join company roster, reunite with partner/EP Sara Eolin

    BROOKLYN, NY --

Woman-owned production company Tinygiant has added directors Pamela Romanowsky, Trevor McMahan, Joaquín Güiraldes, Dara Bratt and Tati Barrantes to its roster of talent.

Romanowsky has established herself as a screenwriter and director across film, television, and advertising. Her feature debut, The Adderall Diaries, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was released by A24. She has worked on episodic series such as HBO’s Gossip Girl and the CW’s Riverdale. She’s been awarded several fellowships for her work from Sundance, the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Warner Brothers Television, and more.

McMahan started his career as one-third of the directing collective HAPPY and has collaborated creatively with a handful of leading commercial directors including Ivan Zacharias, Guy Shelmerdine and Noam Murro. McMahan has since established a wide-ranging body of solo work. He has garnered multiple Cannes Gold Lions, the cfp-e Young Director’s Award, and a certificate of induction into MOMA’s permanent collection as an AICP honoree.

Argentinian director, now Brooklyn-based, Güiraldes has worked in different areas of the filmmaking world, from the agency-side at DAVID Buenos Aires as an editor and a producer, to directing and editing his own projects. His unique background informs his holistic approach to filmmaking, which involves being hands-on in every step of the process. His commercial work has won awards at Cannes Lions and The One Show, among others.

Originally from Montreal, Bratt holds an MFA in film from Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. Collectively, her films have screened all over the world, from the Tribeca Film Festival to SXSW, from Cannes to ShortShorts Asia in Tokyo. Her work includes narrative films, documentaries, and commercials with a specific emphasis on beauty. Tinygiant has previously represented Bratt in Canada so this marks a homecoming moment.

Prior to joining Brooklyn-based Tinygiant, Romanowsky, McMahan, Güiraldes, Bratt and Barrantes were most recently repped by Rocket Film.

Tinygiant partner/executive producer Sara Eolin said, “I had the pleasure of working with this group of directors at my previous company, and we’re so excited that they followed me to Tinygiant. They all bring such different creative strengths to the table, but have an unwavering commitment to the craft of filmmaking. We always want to keep our roster fresh and our approach to production ever evolving with the times.”

Tinygiant founder/executive producer Veronica Diaferia noted, “The same reason that made Sara joining us earlier this year so perfect holds true for these new signings. They are all mutually beneficial and reciprocal partnerships that will elevate both the individual brands of our talent and the company as a whole.”

Recent work out of Tinygiant includes projects for P&G and Sprite, as well as a colorful Target holiday campaign launching this month.

AI-Rendered Val Kilmer Debuts At CinemaCon In “As Deep as the Grave” Trailer

    Wednesday, April 15, 2026

The filmmakers behind "As Deep as the Grave," the indie film that is using an artificial intelligence-rendered version of Val Kilmer in a prominent role, debuted a first look at the recreated actor Wednesday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

"Don't fear the dead and don't fear me," Kilmer's character, Father Fintan, a Catholic priest and Native American spiritualist, says at the end of the trailer.

The actor died last year at 65, of pneumonia. The use of generative AI to recreate Kilmer for the historical drama based on archaeologists Ann and Earl Morris became a hot button topic when the filmmakers announced it last month. The trailer shows Kilmer's character at various ages.

Writer-director Coerte Voorhees, along with his brother John, spoke on a panel Wednesday about the controversial decision to use technology to create a performance from a deceased actor and explained why they feel they've done it ethically by working with Kilmer's children and the actors union. Coerte Voorhees stopped short of calling it a Val Kilmer performance, however.

"Val Kilmer influenced this performance," Coerte Voorhees said.

Producer John Voorhees said the use of AI actors based on real people is risky territory for anyone to venture into but emphasized that they followed guidelines from the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists union that he boiled down to "consent, compensation and collaboration." Kilmer's estate, including his daughter Mercedes, gave permission for his digital replication, is being compensated for it and provided archival footage to help the process.

They also compared Kilmer's AI-rendered performance to any actor portraying a historical figure on screen, as Kilmer once did with Jim Morrison in... Read More
