Live-action production company nobodys, founded by producing partners Gabe Reiter and Breigh Sutherland, has officially launched. The L.A.-based shop had been operating in a low profile mode since November 2025 and already has several projects under its belt, including eBay’s “Built to Spec,” for Edelman directed by Sunny Sixteen and featuring Pete Davidson, and Denny’s “Shhhhh,” directed by Fern Berresford for BarkleyOKRP, signaling the brand’s evolving creative direction. The production house also has upcoming work set to roll out soon, including a campaign for Ochsner Health directed by Louis Sutherland, and a high-concept project for Huggies directed by Sunny Sixteen.
Reiter serves as managing director and partner of nobodys while Breigh Sutherland is executive producer and partner. Prior to founding nobodys, Reiter was the EP at Rakish where he executive produced for agencies and clients including Home Depot, Kia, Gillette, Dell and Meta. Reiter also executive produced “The Last Barf Bag,” a short doc for Dramamine that turned the forgotten history of airsickness bags into a celebrated brand film. “The Last Barf Bag” swept the awards circuit earning top honors at Cannes Lions (Grand Prix, Gold, Silver, and Bronze), Sundance BrandStorytelling (Best Brand Film), Vimeo’s Best of 2024, Ciclope (Gold), LIA (Gold), D&AD Pencil, Clio, and assorted other honors. Before Rakish, Reiter was a production EP for agency physical production divisions at Media.Monks, overseeing global shoots for a massive multi-brand client, and at Hecho Studios within 72andSunny. Years before exec producing, Reiter was a commercial line producer for companies such as Tool, Caviar, London Alley, and brother, among others.
nobodys EP/partner Sutherland has produced commercials and branded content for over 23 years, turning out work for leading brands across the U.S. and internationally. She has extensive experience as an EP, having shot on location throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Australia. Throughout this time she has worked on campaigns for brands including Audi, Nike, Disney, and Google. She also has extensive work with celebrities including Mary Fowler, Ariana Grande, Claire Danes, Donald Trump, Christopher Walken, Bret Michaels, Rupaul, Charles Barkley, and Tiger Woods. She resides in New Zealand where for several years she has been the EP and founder of production company Honeymoon. Additionally, Sutherland brings exec experience in the U.S. market, having earlier served a lengthy tenure as managing director at Chirp Films.
Reiter and Sutherland created nobodys as a premium yet nimble company built to operate in the new reality agencies and brands face of compressed timelines, fragmented deliverables, and a flood of options that often creates more noise than clarity. Instead of adding layers, nobodys removes them, approaching creative as one cohesive ecosystem, scaling to the needs of the idea, keeping senior leadership hands-on, and guiding every project by a simple standard: less ego, better work.
The company launches with an intentionally boutique roster of directors: the aforementioned Sunny Sixteen, Fern Berresford and Louis Sutherland, as well as Bruce St. Clair, and Patrick Cummings. The lineup spans cinematic storytelling, modern comedy, and high-end commercial craft. St. Clair has directed work for brands including Kia, Volkswagen, and Audi. His work reflects an affinity for channeling the grandeur of iconic films through a contemporary lens. Louis Sutherland brings his signature warmth, heart, and humor to everyday stories, elevating performances with emotional depth and cinematic restraint for brands like Ikea, McDonald’s, and Clorox. Berresford crafts visuals that blend playfulness with rich atmosphere and dynamic camera work, with projects for Lego, Denny’s, and LinkedIn. Cummings is known for smart, dialogue-driven comedy, pulling authentic performances while delivering cinematic, cheeky storytelling for brands including McDonald’s, DraftKings, and Toyota. Rounding out the roster is Sunny Sixteen, a four-director creative braintrust whose energetic, modern style has earned wide industry acclaim, including seven Cannes Lions, three Grand Clios, and four D&AD Pencils.
St. Clair, Berresford and Sunny Sixteen were all most recently with the former Rakish. Louis Sutherland continues to be repped by Honeymoon in New Zealand and Photoplay in Australia. Cummings had been freelancing prior to joining nobodys.
“Producing is stewardship,” said Reiter. “We don’t just ‘make the work,’ we protect the idea through every compromise point so the strongest version survives from the first conversation to final delivery. That requires taste, involvement, and the willingness to be honest about fit. We built nobodys to do that at a high level, without the layers and distance that can dilute great work.”
Breigh Sutherland added, “These are directors Gabe and I have believed in and worked alongside for years, so bringing them together under one banner felt like a natural next step. Winning seven pitches straight out of the gate reinforces that agencies are looking for true partners, production companies that can offer creative leadership and clever solutions at a turning point for our industry.”
Handling representation in the U.S. for nobodys are Shortlist Management on the West Coast, Nikki Weiss & Co. in the Midwest and Commonwealth on the East Coast.
