W+K LONDON ON  "GUARD" FOR AMAZON PRIME
This playful spot directed by Michael Spiccia via MJZ for agency Wieden+Kennedy London expands Amazon Prime’s global “It’s On Prime” campaign.

Titled “Gourmet Guard,” the piece introduces us to a security guard who discovers a passion for cooking–and a new career path. Bored with his meal options on the job, our budding culinary enthusiast finds inspiration from Prime Video shows to go on and prepare delicious meals through cookbooks and kitchen necessities, all delivered quickly thanks to Prime.

Charlie Lanus and Lucas Reis of W+K London were the creative directors. Chris Blauvelt served as DP. Paul Hardcastle of Trim edited the commercial. Fiona Crombie was the production designer.

    BUCK LAUNCHES LONDON OFFICE
BUCK is expanding in Europe with a new office in London and has hired James Britton as executive producer to lead its U.K. team. Britton joins BUCK from Stink Studios where he was group managing director for over a decade.

The London office is BUCK’s second location in Europe, following the opening of its Amsterdam office in 2021. BUCK, which also has locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Sydney, now has five offices globally.

Britton will lead a team in the U.K. which includes associate creative director Jen Zhang, sr. producer Jamey Kitchens, animation director Joe Brooks, sr. designer and animator Bianca Beneduci, and a seasoned creative team spanning design, animation, branding and experience with creative leadership under executive creative director and partner, Vincent Lammers.

Britton’s work as a sustainability champion will bolster BUCK’s efforts in this space as it pursues its B Corp certification. Britton brings with him certifications as a B Leader with B Corp U.K. and experience as a non-executive advisor to the carbon measurement start-up, Zevero.

Britton brings a wealth of experience to BUCK, having worked with global clients such as Spotify, Google, Nike, and U.K. cultural icons such as Warp Records, iD Magazine, and Tate. Having previously worked with AKQA and Nike, he spent a 12-year tenure at Stink Studios, helping to grow the agency to more than 120 people, winning multiple awards at Cannes Lions and D&AD.

    PEOPLE ON THE MOVE…
L.A.-based production company World War Seven (WW7) has hired Sloane Hayes Skala as exec producer. She comes over from The Directors Bureau where she served as EP since 2021 and represented directors such as Wes Anderson, Sofia Coppola, Natasha Lyonne and Emmanuel Adjei. Before the Directors Bureau, Sloane spent a decade as a freelance commercial line producer. Storytelling is in Sloane’s blood. She grew up in Hollywood, the granddaughter of Oscar-winning screenwriter John Michael Hayes, whose credits include Rear Window, among other films for Alfred Hitchcock. Sloane carried on the family tradition, graduating from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, after which she produced and EP’d a web show for RedBull, the brand’s first-ever series and narrative property and one of the first major branded projects to use influencers as talent. Sloane also served as head of production for RedBull TV during that time….Comedy editor Ryan Spears, an Emmy nominee for his work on Saturday Night Live, has joined The Den for commercial representation….

Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Sade, Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan and Luther Vandross get into Rock Hall

    Tuesday, April 14, 2026

Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol, Queen Latifah, Oasis, Sade and Joy Division/New Order will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with first-time nominees Wu-Tang Clan and the late Luther Vandross.

The list was revealed on Monday night's airing of "American Idol." Artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before they're eligible for induction. Nominees were voted on by more than 1,200 artists, historians and music industry professionals.

Soft rocker Collins, who already is in the hall as a member of Genesis, has had such solo hits as "In the Air Tonight" and "One More Night," and has earned eight Grammys, including album of the year in 1985 for "No Jacket Required." Collins got in the first time he appeared on the ballot.

Soul-jazz vocalist Sade, also nominated in 2024, had such soft rock hits as "Smooth Operator" and "The Sweetest Taboo." The Wu-Tang Clan have been hailed as rap innovators since their game-changing 1993 debut album "Enter the Wu-Tang."

Iron Maiden, nominated twice before, helped power the new wave of British heavy metal with iconic albums like "The Number of the Beast." Vandross, who sold more than 25 million albums and had the hits "Here and Now" and "Any Love," died in 2005 and inspired Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "Luther."

This year, the hall will open its arms to the sounds of Manchester, England, inducting post-punk pioneers Joy Division and New Order — which shared most of the same members — as well as Britpop's recently reunited Oasis, made up of Noel and Liam Gallagher. Idol, also English, has brought a punky sneer to pop with songs like "White Wedding" and "Rebel Yell."

The induction will be held Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los... Read More
