PRETTYBIRD has added director Laura Marciano to its U.K. roster. The French filmmaker’s work is defined by its textured realism, female gaze, and an instinct for capturing fleeting, human moments with authenticity and elegance. At PRETTYBIRD, she joins recent signees Nono Ayuso and Baloji. She has directed award-winning videos for luxury brands, including Jean-Paul Gautier, YSL Beauty as well as clients such as Kitsuné, Fila, Maison Michel, Golden Goose, Diesel, Off-White, and L.A.-based brands like Starface and Miaou. Alongside her commercial work, Marciano has also crafted editorial pieces for L’Officiel and directed music videos for Latto, Asake, Tems, Tiakola, Lala & CE, and Black Coffee….

Blackmagic Design updates DaVinci Resolve 21, will showcase new features at NAB
With NAB on the horizon, Blackmagic Design has announced DaVinci Resolve 21, a significant update introducing the new Photo page, which enables colorists and photographers to use Hollywood’s most advanced color tools for still photos.
Other updates include new AI tools such as IntelliSearch for fast content searching, CineFocus for focal point adjustment, tools for facial refinement, and more. The Krokodove toolset adds over 70 new graphics to Fusion, Fairlight folders simplify audio track management, plus there are improvements to keyframing, MultiMaster trim passes, layer list node graphs and more. DaVinci Resolve 21 public beta is available for download now from the Blackmagic Design web site.

DaVinci Resolve’s powerful postproduction workflow now fully integrates photo image editing. The new Photo page lets customers import and manage photographs, integrating with the color page for node based grading. Now colorists and photographers can use Hollywood color grading tools on still images.
Use primary color correction, curves, qualifiers, power windows and node editor to adjust color in artistic ways across an entire project. Plus, customers can use a DaVinci color panel to adjust multiple parameters at once.
DaVinci Resolve’s powerful node based workflow can now be used on still images. It’s possible to add nodes in series or parallel to build complex grades, apply different corrections to different parts of an image simultaneously and use shared nodes to apply the same look across an entire album of photos at once.
