Atlantic Pictures announced today the promotion of Mark DePasquale to Partner, recognizing one of the company’s most dynamic multi-hyphenate creative forces and underscoring Atlantic’s continued momentum across feature film, television, commercials, and next-generation visual storytelling.
DePasquale’s career bridges directing, producing, writing, and visual effects supervision. He has built a reputation for combining cinematic storytelling with sophisticated, design-forward execution. As the creative lead behind Atlantic VFX, he has expanded the company’s capabilities in premium visual effects and on-set services for independent films, studio productions, and major brands alike. Atlantic VFX provides services spanning set extensions, CG animation, screen replacements, photogrammetry, LiDAR capture, HDRI, and on-set supervision.
An alumnus of New York University Tisch School of the Arts, DePasquale represents a new generation of filmmaker-technologists: creators equally fluent in narrative craft and cutting-edge production tools. His body of work includes award-winning short films, branded content, and commercial campaigns, all marked by a strong visual identity and emotional clarity.
Most recently, DePasquale’s short film MOONDAYS was acquired by DUST, a milestone that highlights his voice not only as a technician, but as a filmmaker with global audience appeal.
Atlantic Pictures continues to support major studio and independent productions, with recent work involving Sony Pictures, Lionsgate, Paramount Pictures, and acclaimed independent features including In the Hand of Dante.
“Since joining Atlantic, Mark has helped push the company forward in how we think about and apply new technology,” said Darren Goldberg, Founding Partner at Atlantic Pictures. “His skill, expertise, and creative sensibility have permeated the work across the board. As the industry continues to evolve and innovation becomes central to the process, elevating him to partner reflects both his impact on the company and where we’re headed.”
DePasquale’s elevation to Partner arrives at a pivotal moment for the entertainment industry, as production increasingly demands leaders who can merge artistry, efficiency, and innovation across mediums. His promotion signals Atlantic’s commitment to building for the future—where premium content moves seamlessly between cinema screens, streaming platforms, broadcast, and branded ecosystems. With DePasquale now joining the partnership ranks, Atlantic Pictures is poised to accelerate its slate of original content, expand its VFX and production services footprint, and deepen relationships with studios, agencies, and filmmakers worldwide.
