R/GA has named Liesje Hodgson as VP, executive strategy director. In this newly created role, Hodgson will lead the agency’s experience strategy offering globally, strengthening the strategic infrastructure behind R/GA’s growing portfolio of adaptive experience work. Based in New York, Hodgson will report to Melissa Jackson Parsey, global chief strategy officer at R/GA.
“Liesje joins us at a pivotal moment as we lead the industry into the intelligence age,” said Jackson Parsey. “She’s the rare strategist who can connect deep human insight to the systems and technologies that will shape how brands operate and grow. As experiences become more adaptive and intelligent, Liesje will help ensure our strategy evolves just as quickly as the products and platforms we’re building.”
In her role, Hodgson will ensure that strategy is built into the generative interfaces, adaptive experiences, and innovative products that R/GA designs for clients, shaping how they perform, respond, and evolve. She will work across teams to bridge what experiences promise and what they deliver for the brands and people they serve, grounding decisions in a strong foundation of growth strategy, customer insight, and brand intent. Hodgson will also support key client engagements and new business initiatives across the agency’s experience portfolio.
“Brands have spent decades optimizing how experiences look, feel and flow. The next question–the one no one has really solved yet–is how they think and collaborate,” said Hodgson. “For decades, R/GA has found creative opportunity in technological disruption and inventing new playbooks for clients. I’m excited to build on that and help define what comes next.”
Hodgson brings over 15 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams at the intersection of strategy and design. She joins R/GA from Material, where she led the organization’s design practice across North America and APAC, including its award-winning design studio Aruliden, whose clients included USTA, Verizon, WHOOP, and Movado. She has held roles at Redscout, Interbrand and frog, and has served as an adjunct professor at NYU’s ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program.
