    NEW YORK -- (SPW) --

“First Days,” the Guinness World Record-breaking short film created through Indeed’s Opportunity Studio initiative, makes its world premiere during 2026 Sundance Film Festival, screening at the Impact Lounge during the festival’s opening weekend.

Produced by Voyager, the film holds the official Guinness World Records title for most directors on a single film, bringing together 30 first-time and emerging filmmakers in a collaborative production that reimagines access, authorship, and opportunity within the film industry.

Written by twin brothers Kevin Luu and Kelly Luu, veterans of Indeed’s Rising Voices program, the film unfolds entirely inside an office cubicle. Told through comedic vignettes capturing “first day at work” anxieties, each segment was directed by a different filmmaker while working under a unified creative framework and professional crew.

“First Days” was developed through Opportunity Studio, an initiative launched by Indeed to expand access to one of the hardest industries to break into by giving aspiring directors their first opportunity to direct a professionally produced film and earn an IMDb directing credit. The project originated as a live, interactive filmmaking experience during the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, where the film was shot on-site over four days at the Indeed Lounge at Spring Studios.

Voyager led all producing and casting efforts, with set design and construction by global integrated marketing agency BMF, offering participants and visitors a behind-the-scenes look at a working film set.

“We fell in love with this concept instantly,” shares Charles Frank, Creative Director and Founder of Voyager. “It’s such a brilliant way to uplift emerging voices and support independent film – two values that are baked into Voyager’s DNA. It’s a dream to partner with Indeed, a brand that we’ve admired since season one of their Rising Voices initiative.”

    "Sitting Bull"

Voyager Director and Navajo filmmaker Christopher Nataanii Cegielski co-directed The HISTORY Channel’s two-part documentary event “Sitting Bull,” which premiered on Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday, 28. The series, executive produced by Appian Way Productions, offers a powerful exploration of the legendary Lakota Chief’s life, leadership and enduring legacy during the era of resistance against U.S. government policies and westward expansion.    Narrated by Mo Brings Plenty (“Yellowstone”) and starring actor Michael Spears (Kul Wičaša Lakota, “1923”) as Sitting Bull, the documentary follows the extraordinary life and accomplishments of the Lakota Chief—from his unifying of Native Nations and defiance against U.S. expansion to his role in the Battle of Little Bighorn and beyond. Tracing his fight to defend his people’s freedom and their land, the project blends expert interviews, archival material and scripted re-creations to bring Sitting Bull’s story to life.   “I grew up watching The History Channel with my dad, so co-directing this project felt deeply personal to me,” shares Christopher. “It was a chance to honor and uplift Native voices and tell this story with the care and authenticity it deserves. There’s a responsibility that comes with that, and... Read More
