Samplitude 2026 is now available from the award-winning team at Boris FX. The major update gives music production and audio professionals access to a more streamlined workflow with greater technical and creative flexibility. The new features, including smarter CPU management, an improved VST3 audio engine for low-latency recording, a video engine supporting 4K video playback, and the ability to remotely trigger Samplitude’s controls over a network, allow users to record, edit, mix, and master more efficiently and accurately than ever before.
“Samplitude 2026 is built to keep you focused on what matters most, staying creative. The optimized audio engine ensures sessions run smoothly,” states Patrick Donohoe, director of product marketing, Pro Audio, at Boris FX. “The new video engine supports modern codecs and seamless playback, so you can concentrate on the project instead of file conversions and audio sync. OSC remote support lets you stay in control — and in the moment — even away from your computer. The new features offer massive time savings while keeping users in their inspired flows.”
“Samplitude has been my go-to DAW for over 20 years. The 2026 release is an important step forward,” says Kraznet, recording/mixing engineer (Morgan Studios, Rolling Stones mobile studio) and YouTube trainer. “The redesigned audio engine makes low-latency recording and playback a breeze, and you can now work with GPU-accelerated 4K video directly inside your project. These are huge improvements. Samplitude’s future under Boris FX looks very positive.”
New Features
Samplitude 2026 gives users more control over sessions with intelligent CPU management and improved VST3 audio engine stability to help achieve more efficient workflows. Performance stays consistent, even on complex multi-track mixes with resource-intensive plugin chains.
A new video engine delivers reliable 4K video playback at up to 60 fps. It allows users to quickly navigate, edit, and playback video while maintaining tight audio-to-video sync. The updated engine supports modern codecs like AVC (H.264), HEVC (H.265), and AV1. It also includes GPU acceleration on NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel hardware, which produces responsive performance and keeps CPUs focused on audio processing.
OSC (Open Sound Control) remote support allows audio engineers to control Samplitude’s tools over a network using a mobile phone, tablet, Stream Deck, or an OSC-based app. The addition gives users the flexibility to make edits, start recording, or mix on the spot in any room without being tied to a workstation.
Samplitude Suite
The Samplitude Suite builds on Samplitude 2026’s core new features, adding exclusive tools that enhance sound design and editing capabilities.
The FX Routing Matrix provides precise, flexible plugin routing control. Users can route any track channel to any plugin and output to a track channel of their choice. The matrix simplifies correcting surround-sound setups, setting up advanced sidechains, and applying multiple stereo plugins to a multi-channel bus.
Soundly integration gives users access to an extensive cloud-based sound library inside Samplitude’s arranger window. It features thousands of sound effects, Foley, atmospheres, and field recordings. The library helps users stay focused on creating rather than on file management with custom libraries, tags, and favorites, along with search tools and built-in sound previews for instant auditioning.
The Samplitude Suite also includes sister product Boris FX Sound Forge (2026). The longstanding, specialized pro audio tool expands editing capabilities on individual audio files. The standalone application offers precision waveform editing, customizable workflows, repeatable functions, automatic trigger-based recording, batch processing, and more.
