    Composer Amélia Rolland

The French-born composer developed the full sonic identity for the indie RPG

    LOS ANGELES -- (SPW) --

French-born composer, songwriter, and vocalist Amélia Rolland, known professionally as AMÉLIA., is rapidly emerging as one of the most compelling new voices in contemporary scoring. Blending cinematic storytelling with modern pop sensibilities, she now brings her distinctive musical language to the highly anticipated video game Unchained: Tale of Enra, with the original soundtrack set to release alongside the game on June 1st.

A graduate of both Berklee College of Music and the USC Thornton School of Music, AMÉLIA.’s work reflects a deep and versatile musical foundation. Trained in classical piano and flute, and shaped by a lifelong connection to vocal performance, she approaches composition with a uniquely intuitive sensibility. “At my core, I am a singer,” she explains. “I often think of the orchestra almost as a choir,” a perspective that informs her emotionally resonant and human-centered sound.

Her score for Unchained: Tale of Enra marks a significant milestone in her career. Recorded in Los Angeles with a full ensemble of musicians, the project offered her the rare opportunity to develop the musical identity of an entirely new world from the ground up. “It was truly a dream come true,” AMÉLIA. shares. “The team trusted me to shape the themes and emotional arc of the story, and that level of creative freedom was incredibly meaningful.”
Developed in collaboration with game creator Will Alvarez and his team, Unchained: Tale of Enra is expected to immerse players in a richly narrative-driven universe, brought to life in part through AMÉLIA.’s evocative score. Her music, known for bridging classical orchestration with contemporary harmonic language, plays a central role in defining the emotional landscape of the game.

AMÉLIA.’s growing body of work continues to earn industry recognition. She is an HMMA-nominated songwriter and Global Music Award-winning composer, notably for her work on Sean the Baby (2025), where she co-composed the song “Sean Is Three” with Cameron Adams. The piece, praised for its emotional immediacy and theatrical nuance, highlights her ability to craft music that feels both intimate and cinematic.

In addition to her scoring work, AMÉLIA. is an accomplished arranger, producer, and performer. She has collaborated with acclaimed composer Garry Schyman on the Amazon series The Envoy, and has contributed to a range of film and media projects including Dance Your Fears Away (2025) and Thread (2026). Her artistic journey also includes performances with the Boston Pops and appearances as a soprano soloist in major contemporary works.

Now based in Los Angeles, AMÉLIA. continues to expand her creative reach across film, television, and interactive media. With upcoming projects including new short films and additional unreleased works, she represents a new generation of composers redefining the boundaries between genres.

Reflecting on her path, she emphasizes the role of education and ongoing growth in her artistry. “My training gave me the tools and confidence to trust my instincts,” she says. “It allows me to focus less on whether something works, and more on expressing emotion and telling a story.”

With Unchained: Tale of Enra, AMÉLIA. invites audiences into a powerful new sonic world—one shaped by instinct, collaboration, and a deeply personal voice
