    NEW YORK --

Global creative studio Jelly has signed Ben&Julia, the Berlin-based director duo who specialize in playful, surreal, character-driven storytelling. Ben&Julia will be represented by Jelly worldwide, excluding Germany and Switzerland.

Combining analog craft with high-end digital execution, they art direct and direct everything from large-scale commercial productions to social-first and short-form content–blending live action, puppetry, motion design and 3D animation.

Surrounded by lenses, cameras, props, miniatures and handmade objects, their Berlin studio is a playground-like creative environment: a place built for constant experimentation, prototyping and play. Curiosity is the engine underneath everything they make.

They have crafted worlds and campaigns for global clients including Firefox, Nike, Hyundai, Hankook, Subway, Diesel and Intermarché.

Before joining Jelly, they were working as creative directors/directors at INNOCEAN Berlin.

Jelly executive producer Pierre Gobin commented, “For brands looking to build distinctive worlds with a very human and playful perspective, Ben&Julia bring something special. Their tone is lighthearted, their characters memorable, and their visual identity instantly recognizable because it’s so charming.

“They’re the opposite of generic directors. You laugh, you react, you connect. Their work is conceptually bold, tactile, and built to last. Their ideas attract attention and grow with a brand over time. They’re full of originality, and we’re thrilled to be working with them internationally.”

D&AD Festival Sets Program For 2026; Stefan Sagmeister To Headline President’s Lectures

    Wednesday, April 22, 2026

The full program for D&AD Festival 2026--set for May 19-20 in London’s South Bank--has been unveiled.

Leading the program are The President’s Lectures, curated by D&AD president Lisa Smith and headlined by graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister, a two-time Grammy winner. The Festival also features Jury Insight Sessions, Yellow Pencils: Why They Won and dedicated learning programs.

Sagmeister stated, “I’m delighted to be appearing at the D&AD Festival this year. It’s where the industry comes together to properly celebrate the work, challenge itself and talk about what actually matters to drive creativity forward. I’ll be talking about the single worst job of my career, the kind of project that nearly kills your creativity. We all love a good disaster, so it should be fun.”

David Patton, CEO of D&AD, said, ”At D&AD, we’ve never believed creativity is dead, but belief isn’t enough. The industry needs to prove it. The D&AD Festival is where that argument gets made at the highest level. Two days, the most provocative voices in the business and the finest creative work of the year. We think we know the answer. Come and join the debate.”

    The President’s Lectures
Sagmeister will reflect on the job that, in his words, almost killed his creativity, and why it didn’t.

David Lee (Squarespace) will argue that creativity may be the last remaining human advantage, while Alex Center (CENTER) sets out the case for a creative rebirth and Court Williams (De-Yan) explores the intersection of brand, technology and experience.

Mary Lewis (Lewis Moberly), D&AD’s first female president, joins current president Lisa Smith on stage to ask: three decades later, have we really... Read More
