    BANGALORE, India --

Rodeo FX is opening a new studio in Bangalore, marking a key step in the company’s continued global expansion. The new space is set to open this summer.

Fully integrated into Rodeo FX’s global pipeline, the studio will support productions across film, episodic, animation, advertising, and immersive experiences. The studio will help scale production capacity across North America, Europe, and India.

“India is home to an exceptional pool of talent,” said Sebastien Moreau, CEO and founder of Rodeo FX. “Opening in Bangalore allows us to better integrate this expertise into our global pipeline while offering greater flexibility and efficiency to our clients.”

Located in the International Tech Park Bengaluru, the 40,000-square-foot studio will accommodate up to 400 artists and serve as a scalable hub supporting both Rodeo FX and Mikros Animation activities.

“This new studio gives us the opportunity to reconnect with many talented artists,” said Julien Meester, president of Mikros Animation. “We’re proud to bring this community back together and build on that foundation within Rodeo FX’s global network.”

Sivaraman S T, who has been previously part of the Mikros Animation leadership team, has been appointed Head of Studio and will oversee the Bangalore studio across all business lines.

Sivaraman said, “We’re building on a strong team and culture as we grow the Bangalore studio into a key hub within the global network.”

“Following our recent expansion in France and with our North American studios firmly established, India represents the next logical step in our global growth strategy,” said Jordan Soles, sr. VP of Rodeo FX. “This new studio strengthens our presence in the region while complementing the partnerships we’ve built with our local collaborators.”

Rodeo FX also maintains offices in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Los Angeles and Paris.

Nathalie Baye, French actor known for her warmth and versatility, dies at 77

Nathalie Baye, a French actor who was a fan's favorite for her her down-to-earth charm and great versatility, has died. She was 77.

French president Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to an actor "with whom we loved, dreamed and grew." French media reported that Baye died on Friday in Paris from a neurodegenerative disease, quoting a statement from her relatives.

"We loved Nathalie Baye so much," Macron wrote in a message on X. "Through her voice, her smiles, and her modesty, she accompanied the past decades of French cinema, from François Truffaut to Tonie Marshall."

Baye featured in more than 80 movies, switching from mainstream comedies to auteur films with ease in a career that spanned over five decades. She twice claimed the prize for best actress at the Césars, France's equivalent of the Oscars.

Baye, who was Leonardo DiCaprio's on-screen mother in Steven Spielberg's "Catch Me If You Can," won both popular and critical acclaim for her role in "Venus Beauty Institute," a romantic comedy that follows three women working in a Parisian beauty salon as they search for fulfilment. Marshall won the César award for best director in 2000 for the movie.

The daughter of artists, Baye first trained as a dancer then honed her acting skills at the famed Cours Simon and the Conservatoire. She took the spotlight in François Truffaut's "Day for Night" in 1973 and, five years later, worked with him again on "The Green Room."

Baye worked with directors Maurice Pialat, Claude Sautet and Bertrand Tavernier, among others. She rose to fame with "The Return of Martin Guerre" in 1982. A year later, her role as a tough-talking streetwalker devoted to her down-and-out gangster boyfriend Philippe Leotard in "La Balance" earned her a... Read More
