Planet Propaganda Sticks With J.J. Sedelmaier Productions, BODEGA For J-B Weld Campaign

Directors J.J. Sedelmaier (J.J. Sedelmaier Productions, Inc., White Plains, NY) and Mike G (BODEGA Studios, bicoastal) recently collaborated to seamlessly bring together their animated and live characters, respectively, in the “Be Your Strongest Self” campaign from agency Planet Propaganda for client J-B Weld, which is known for DIY epoxy and adhesives.

The campaign, which launches on Labor Day, profiles four of J-B Weld’s top products: J-B Weld Original Epoxy, Super-Weld Light Activated, KwikWood Wood Repair Epoxy, and their Clear-Weld Quick Setting Epoxy.

Each spot–including this :30 titled “Mosaically Framed”–features a live action character confronting and remedying an adhesive or repair issue, with the assistance and encouragement from their animated counterpart. Their confident and supportive cartoon alter- ego guides them successfully through the process and provides an enthusiastic congratulations at the end.

“I saw this animation/live action campaign as a terrific opportunity to take our character animation into a new realm”, said animation director/designer Sedelmaier. “The interaction between the two worlds is fun and provides a nice support for the various products and their use. The other aspect of this project that was awesome was the partnering with Mike G. He was involved in the production from beginning to end, and even worked directly on the actual compositing of the animation/live. This meant we could strategize intimately with each other on the set during the shoot(s) when we needed to solve creative/technical issues that would ultimately be addressed in post.”

The Best Work You May Never See: Silence Is Golden In BTS Film On Wildlife Print Campaign For Jeep From Publicis Canada

    Tuesday, April 21, 2026

Jeep is launching “The Silent Edition,” a wildlife print campaign for the all-new 2026 Jeep Cherokee Hybrid shot entirely in nature, where the vehicle’s hybrid technology helped make the intimate images possible.

Created by Publicis Canada in partnership with award-winning conservation photojournalist Patricia Homonylo, the campaign places the vehicle within real wildlife environments without overtaking them. At lower speeds, the Cherokee Hybrid moves more quietly, allowing the images to capture animals in their natural state, undisturbed, with the vehicle integrated subtly into each scene. The work is running in National Geographic and Canadian Geographic.

Built around the idea “Let the wild stay wild,” the campaign explores how the Cherokee Hybrid’s combination of 4x4 capability and quiet electric performance allows for a more considered way of moving through nature. For Homonylo, that made access to stillness possible. “I’ve missed shots before because my car made too much noise. With this, it made a real difference.”

The campaign was shot over two days in Muskoka, Northern Ontario. Working with wildlife meant nothing was staged or guaranteed, only observed.

The campaign reflects Homonylo’s practice, where presence matters more than proximity. “It hasn’t been about getting close enough. It’s about being quiet enough,” she explained. “If I’m silent, if I’m still, animals will come closer.”

This behind-the-scenes film--directed by Reid Marshall and Cameron Marshall via ThePub Production--follows Homonylo in the field as she navigates remote environments and unpredictable wildlife, documenting her process under unobtrusive conditions. Created using only natural sound, it reflects the experience... Read More
