Liam Boyle of Schafer Condon Carter
LONDON, CHICAGO & VANCOUVER, BC --

London-based Blinkink has connected with FreeAgent UK, led by Alexa Haywood, to represent the studio’s music video directors across the U.K. Blinkink is known for its mixed-media music video portfolio, having worked with the likes of Coldplay, Iron Maiden, Elton John, Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Ashnikko, Dua Lipa and many more. Haywood has been representing directors for more than two decades and has garnered many accolades along the way. From 2022 to 2024, she won the Best Agent mantle consecutively at the UKMVAs, and also earned a Grammy nomination for Harry Style’s music video “As It Was,” for which she was a producer. Her agency is known for representing the video of top-tier music talent, from The Rolling Stones and Lady Gaga, to Raye and Elton John, among others….

Chicago-headquartered Schafer Condon Carter (SCC) has brought Liam Boyle on board as chief growth officer. In his new role, Boyle will report to agency president and CEO, Ben Behrman, and work closely with the executive leadership team to help reinforce its position as a challenger agency built to help ambitious brands win in complex, fast-moving markets. Boyle brings a career rooted in new business and growth, most recently, leading both at Bader Rutter across B2B2C sectors including food and beverage, agriculture, petcare and manufacturing. He’s worked with brands like Kellogg’s, Nestle, Converse, Unilever, Wilson Sporting Goods, Toyota and more. Boyle’s perspective is shaped by experience across both global networks and independents–including Edelman, The Sound, Omnicom, and The Escape Pod Group–giving him a unique ability to blend scale with agility. That balance is critical to SCC’s model as an independent agency competing with larger holding companies while delivering more flexible, connected solutions. At SCC, he will lead efforts to expand the agency’s growth engine, deepen strategic partnerships, and connect capabilities across the organization to better serve clients. Within this, he will identify clients, categories and targets that represent the best opportunities for growth for the agency. Boyle’s appointment follows other recent talent news including the promotion of SCC’s Jack Hennessy to the new role of chief operating and media officer. In addition, marketing leader Jim Lecinski has been brought on board as a sr. advisor to help accelerate SCC’s AI capabilities and value creation for clients…

Kimberlee Alexander is joining Panavision’s Vancouver office as director of sales and market development. Reporting to Johanna Gravelle, managing director of Panavision Canada, Alexander will focus on growing new business and building and sustaining long-term industry relationships, including supporting the activation of sponsorship and partnership opportunities within the British Columbia industry. With more than 20 years of experience driving revenue and overseeing strategic partnerships, Alexander brings established relationships across the British Columbia and North American film and television industry. She has held leadership roles in studio operations and postproduction–including as VP of sales and marketing for Vancouver Film Studios and head of sales and marketing for Umedia VFX. She is also a member of Screen BC, which represents stakeholders throughout the province, promoting British Columbia as a leading filming destination. Panavision Vancouver supports filmmakers working in feature films, television series, commercials and more, providing world-class service, technical and creative collaboration, and access to Panavision’s camera and optics rental inventory. Recent projects serviced by Panavision Vancouver include the new Netflix feature Remarkably Bright Creatures, the 20th Century Studios production Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, the Searchlight Pictures release In the Blink of an Eye, and A24’s The Smashing Machine….

Tech is turning increasingly to religion in a quest to create ethical AI

As concerns mount over artificial intelligence and its rapid integration into society, tech companies are increasingly turning to faith leaders for guidance on how to shape the technology — a surprising about-face on Silicon Valley's longstanding skepticism of organized religion. Leaders from various religious groups met last week with representatives from companies including Anthropic and OpenAI for the inaugural "Faith-AI Covenant" roundtable in New York to discuss how best to infuse morality and ethics into the fast-developing technology. It was organized by the Geneva-based Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities, which seeks to take on issues such as extremism, radicalization and human trafficking. The roundtable is expected to be the first of several around the globe, including in Beijing, Nairobi and Abu Dhabi. Tech executives need to recognize their power — and their responsibility — to make the right decisions, said Baroness Joanna Shields, a key partner in the initiative. She worked as a tech executive with stints at Google and Facebook before pivoting to British politics. "Regulation can't keep up with this," she said. "This dialogue, this direct connection is so important because the people who are building this understand the power and capabilities of what they're building and they want to do it right — most of them." The goal of this initiative, according to Shields, is an eventual "set of norms or principles" informed by different groups and faiths, from Christians to Sikhs to Buddhists, that companies will abide by. Challenges lie ahead Present at the meeting were a variety of faith groups, including representatives from the Hindu Temple Society of North America, the Baha'i International Community, The Sikh...
