The Cinema Audio Society (CAS) has set the date and timetable for the 51st Annual CAS Awards.  The CAS recognizes Outstanding Sound Mixing in film and television as well as Technical Achievement in production and post-production.  Honorary Awards will be announced later in the year.

Stefan Kudelski, inventor of the first portable professional recorder, the renowned "Nagra", passed away 26 January in Switzerland. Kudelski, 84, was the founder of the Kudelski Group.
