The Best Work You May Never See; Côme Ferré Directs World of Tanks’ “Parking Lot” For Paris Agency Romance

There’s only one place to own a tank--in the video game World of Tanks. Owning a tank in real life isn’t much fun and a most inconvenient proposition. It’s tough to grocery shop in, it won’t fit in a car wash--and in this spot, just getting into a parking lot is fraught with problems.
Côme Ferré of Paris production house Wanda directed “Parking Lot” for ad agency Romance in Paris. This ad shows a guy trying to enter a parking lot with his tank--yielding frustratingly comedic results.
In another spot, also directed by Ferré, we see the high cost of filling up a tank’s gas tank.
The campaign is part of a new creative push for World of Tanks, the flagship game of Wargaming, the online game developer and publisher in the free-to-play market. Romance is Wargaming’s agency for pan-European communication. These commercials are being show in the U.K., France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Turkey.
